Excellence in Academics, Athletics and Community Service

It is crucial that you carefully review the requirements noted below to ensure you are eligible to participate in tryouts!

In order to have the opportunity to become a member of the 2017/2018 University Ringette Team you must attend tryouts in September 2017.

Players for the 2017/2018 University Ringette Team will be selected by the coaches and, in some cases, external evaluators based on the results of the six tryout sessions noted below. No priority is given to returning players and, as such, any interested and eligible individuals (see below) are strongly encouraged to participate in tryouts.

1.) You must register at the arena the first time you participate in tryouts. On either September 10th or 19th, depending on when you chose to register, please arrive at the arena 60 minutes prior to the start of tryouts in order to complete the registration process. Anyone not attending at least one of the September 10th or 19th sessions will be ineligible to participate in tryouts and will not have the opportunity of being chosen as a player.

2.) At the time of registration you must provide proof you are registered as a full time student at NAIT, Grant MacEwan, Concordia or the U of A for the entire 2017/2018 academic year.

3.) At the time of registration you must pay a one time $60 fee (cash, debit or credit accepted). This fee covers ice costs for you to attend the tryout sessions.

4.) Your personal health and safety is of the utmost concern to us, therefore, you must wear full ringette equipment, including shoulder pads, in order to participate in any of the tryout sessions. Anyone not wearing full equipment (including shoulder pads) will be asked to leave the ice immediately thereby seriously jeopardizing their tryout chances. The use of full ringette equipment, at all times, will be a mandatory requirement for all University Ringette players during the entire 2017/2018 season.
